We have a mixed herd of LaManchas, Oberhaslis, and Alpines. Our 30 milking does are fed a high quality alfalfa hay that is high in protein and they love it! They also are hand fed a grain portion at milking time. They have free access to pasture, fresh water and a mineral feeder that provides them with additional necessary nutrients and minerals.
